Established in 1989 by Dental Technician Martin Shivers, ADL continues to deliver exceptional craftsmanship and an outstanding denture-manufacturing service to dental professionals across the Island of Ireland. Using a combination of traditional techniques and methods, alongside cutting-edge innovative technologies, ADL is crafting the way to the modern age of manufacturing dentures.

Meet The Team

Martin Shivers

Owner & Founder Dip CDT RCS Eng

A qualified and registered Dental Technician and Clinical Dental Technician with the GDC, Martin began his training in 1982 and went on to establish Armagh Dental Lab (now ADL) in 1988. With over 30 years in the industry, Martin is a true professional with an outstanding passion for dental prosthesis.

Ryan Little

Dental Technician

Ryan has been a crucial part of the ADL team for over 20 years; his experience is evident in his excellent care and attention to detail. He also joined the GDC register in 2008.

Laura Wylie

Dental Nurse and Dental Technician

Laura joined the GDC register in 2016 after completing her National Diploma in Dental Nursing (NEBDN). She continued her progression with a BTEC Extended Diploma in Dental Technology Pearson Edexcel in 2021, and a course in Impression Taking in 2022 with the Dental Nurse Network Academy.

After joining the ADL team in July 2021, she has been a pivotal member in our digital transformation. Laura is also our clinic nurse & is an essential team member in our clinical offerings.

Tony O’Neill

Dental Technician

Tony attained his BTEC National Diploma in 2005 and has been a committed and essential member of the ADL team for over two decades. His experience and knowledge is evident in the work he produces. More recently he has been a key member in the introduction and progression of our digital solutions.

Anthony O’Neill

Dental Process Worker

Following his training in casting and plaster room processes, Anthony joined the team in 2013 and has been a vital member of the ADL team since. He continued his development by training in 3Shape as part of ADL’s transformation into digital offerings.

Julie Simpson

Reception & Dispatch

With a background in Dental Nursing, Julie joined the team 10 years ago as our receptionist. Her role is vital in keeping the ADL cogs turning efficiently; ensuring all lab work is processed properly and dispatched on time.

Michaela McLarnon

Practice Manager

As the overseer of the day-to-day running and administration of ADL, Michaela has been a valuable team member since 2012. She graduated in the same year with a BSc in Human Nutrition and has since completed an ILM Practice Management Course.

Shane McKeever

3D Printing & Processing

Shane joined ADL in 2024 as a part time member while studying Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Belfast Met. With a special interest in 3D printing, his skills are valuable in supporting the team with our 3D printing processes.

Lesley Hamilton

Reception

As the newest member of our team, Lesley works part time with ADL as our trusted receptionist and is the first point of contact for everyone that attends the clinic or gets in touch with the lab. Lesley will support patients and clients with all requests in a friendly and efficient manner.

Acrylic Dentures

We specialise in crafting high-quality acrylic dentures and offer two premium finishing options to suit your patients’ needs

Finishing Options:
  • Hi-Impact Acrylic: Our dentures are finished using Hi-impact acrylic, which significantly reduces the risk of breakage in the mouth. This material is known for its durability and strength.
  • Ivoclar Injection Mould Acrylic: Alternatively, clients can opt for Ivoclar Injection mould acrylic. This option benefits from a fully automated injection and polymerization process, which effectively controls shrinkage and enhances the overall fit and performance of the denture.

Clients can choose between two types of teeth for their dentures, both of which come in a range of shades and moulds:

  • Standard Option: Kulzer Artic teeth
  • Premium Option: Enigma Life teeth

Chrome Cobalt Dentures

Vacuum-Formed Appliances and Tools

At ADL, we provide an extensive selection of vacuum-formed appliances designed for direct patient use and delivered to your dental practice.

Our range includes, but is not limited to:

Comprehensive Repair and Addition Services

At ADL, we provide a complete repair and addition service for acrylic dentures. When you send repairs or additions to us, we ensure they are promptly returned to your practice on the next scheduled delivery day.

For those instances when immediate attention is required, we offer a same-day repair and addition service for patients sent directly to us. take advantage of this expedited service, please ensure that all repairs are received by our facility before 10:30 AM.

Referrals, Clinic Visits, and Adjustments

At ADL, we offer convenient on-site clinic services to support your practice. Our Clinical Dental Technician, Martin, is available to accept referrals for patients who could benefit from our expertise or if you need to send a patient at a specific stage of their treatment.
